have studied the material and have a wonderful counter-proposal to make
that I believe will immediately convince you of its rightness.

I am a wealthy philanthropist with a respect for money and a strong
belief in giving blood. My thoughts have been how best to dispose of
this sudden windfall in a manner keeping with the name of Roberts and I
have decided to entrust you with the realization of my exciting idea.

five. I have done my own research and find it is not uncommon for entire
families to be wiped out in fatal accidents on the Sagbama Road.
Dependents of accident victims could also be supported by the funds, and
perhaps a college education paid for, so that they will not be left
destitute by their unfortunate destinies.

Heretofore, I have gone to the Probate Registry's office first this
morning before heading to my chamber; I was made to understand that you
are supposed to pay 0.1% of your fund inheritance, which is thirteen
thousand United States dollars (US$13,000).

The probate registrar pin-pointed that it is a compulsory tax according
to the code of conduct of our rule of law and constitution act 11, sub
sub-section 11c, which was quoted to me by the registrar that unless the
BENEFACTOR of any said inheritance claim pays the above 0.1% of his/her
inheritance claims as the mandatory probate tax, he/she will not be
issued an award certificate on his or her inheritance claims.

Furthermore, have you forwarded the application text to the high court
for the swearing of the affidavit of claims of your inheritance on your
behalf?

I wait to hear from you as soon as possible for us to proceed. It is
very urgent please.

automobile accident. Already I had imagined the worst. Until we have set
up the Pitt Roberts Memorial Fund you must drive very carefully. You
mention a correspondence you sent me on October 5th. I did not receive
this. The last e-mail I have from you is dated October 2nd, so you can
see and understand my concern. Possibly our e-mail correspondence is
being manipulated by third parties. I have changed my e-mail password
and suggest you do the same.

Your e-mail received today will most likely make more sense in context
of the e-mail from October 5th which I did not receive. Perhaps you are
in a position to re-mail it. Anyhow, I fail to understand how a tax can
be levied on moneys that haven't been received yet. Any lawyer worth his
weight in blood should be able to find a loophole to this. I hate to see
you browbeaten by some incompetent registrar whose grasp of the law is
most certainly inferior to yours. Quoting subsections to the great
barrister Eeyore indeed! No one is going to make a jackass out of my
attorney! Tell him we are trying to establish the Pitt Roberts Memorial
Fund. Teach him a lesson! You have my fullest confidence!

They requested several documents, including the death certificate of
Pitt Roberts. This seems highly suspicious to me as they certainly know

On the issue of information I got from the Probate Registry, it has been
an enacted law in this country expecially when it concerns the
foreigners, there is a provison for that in our constitution. I would
not want to argue him because I am a known attorney and it will be a let
down on my personality if I go ahead telling the probate registrar that
it is not obtainable while we the lawyers claim to know all in our
constitution.

We have got to a long way in this transaction, and let us not waste our
efforts towards this transaction success in vain. I will advise that we
look for a way to settle this matter at hand before they suspect us, by
trying to confiscate the fund, though, I will never allow such act to
occur as long as I am alive. The saying goes"TWO HEADS ARE BETTER THAN
ONE" so let put heads together and solve this problem now before it
becomes out of hands.

You were right to be worried about me. My blood had to be replenished
today. It's that rare disease, debilitating me in broad daylight. Now,
after sunset it is becoming pleasant and my priority is to take care of
the work at hand.

First, I was very surprised to receive your Saturday e-mail today, three
days late! Furthermore an acknowledgement e-mail from the finance
company dated October 3rd (last Thursday) arrived also. This is very
suspicious. If only one e-mail had been delayed I would have suspected
that the criminal authorities were monitoring our correspondence,
possibly in investigation of some crime. This is done internationally if
an e-mail account is thought to be used for illegal purposes. But I know
that I have not committed any crime, and you certainly have nothing to
fear either. But two late e-mails from two unconnected sources is highly
remarkable. This must be something other than monitoring, although
frankly, I don't know what to make of this. I have otherwise never had
this problem. Perhaps you have some ideas.

Regarding the death certificate of Pitt Roberts, rest assured I am
saving all relevant documents on my laptop, and a backup on diskette. I
will write to the finance company immediately and tell them that you and
I are taking care of the formalities related to the release of the
money.

As soon as I am able to arrange a scanner, I will e-mail-fax the
application for the court. In trying to uphold the secrecy of our
transaction I cannot just visit a friend and ask him to scan the
document for me. He would find out, and word would spread quickly. The
court document also requires a witness. I will have to take someone into
my confidence if I am to have a witness sign. What do you advise? Can
you copy and paste your signature onto the document when I send it back
to you?

Time is short and I will contact you as soon as possible with the

We can start the fund at this amount if I make up the difference of
$2,850,000 USD. This I am willing and only too eager to do. However, I
will not trust any bank to transfer an amount of this magnitude, indeed
I would hesitate to transfer even the relatively minor amount of
$13,000.

But I see a way to kill two birds with one stone, so to speak, maybe
bloodless, but we'll see. I firmly believe the best solution is to depot
the Pitt Roberts Memorial trust fund in Europe, which is closer to and
has better connections with your country than the United States. I have
consulted with my physician about making the trip myself. In fact he
wholeheartedly recommends I undertake a journey by rail to Rumania, the
home of my distant ancestors, for my health. We would meet in Iceland, I
would turn over the money to you, you would take care of the formalities
of establishing the trust fund with the initial $2,850,000 USD and fly
back home with the remainder, which you use to cover the court fees and
as reimbursement for your air fair. Subsequent to the exchange I would
then travel on to my ancestral home in the Old Country. In any case I
will bring with me the amount of $3,000,000 to hand over to you. I know

Glad to hear things are moving as planned. I look forward to seeing you
in less than 48 hours now! First thing we must do is consummate the
ritual of blood brotherhood, an eternal bond stronger than money. At the
moment I am enjoying the dark climate of Iceland and feel especially
vigorous and energetic.

Do not worry about the money. It is safe. And I am quite sure that no
one could succeed in terrorizing me. I can be quite terrifying myself,
if need be. Anyhow, I have the money with me, and there's nothing to do
about it. I will have to bring it to you. To be honest, I want to leave
the entire matter of money and fees in your capable hands so that I can
concentrate on my journey to the ancient country of Rumania, comfortable
in the knowledge that the Sagbama Express Road has been made safe by
Halloween 2002.

Friend Daniel,

Hope you had a pleasant flight to Amsterdam and that the language in
Holland isn't confusing you too much. When I arrive I will tell you what
people are saying when they gesticulate and point. Until then just
smile, nod and say "Alles kits." I trust you have already taken care of
necessary details concerning our banking arrangements. As you know, I
will not trust any bank with a transfer of money, therefore I prefer to
hand deliver all currency values personally. Considering that I have
outlived most banks I've dealt with, this is an extremely prudent
policy.

Today the blood flowing through my veins is especially energetic. The
long, sunless nights of Iceland have increased my life aura hundredfold.
No force on Earth can stop me now. My flight stands just before me and
indeed I am very much looking forward to seeing you, the great Barrister
Daniel Ejor & Ejor Esquire in person. This will be an especially proud
moment for me, and I suspect you will not forget it for a long while
either. Now I prepare myself for my flight. As you will recall:

of blood, shall shortly pass to me, a curse most terrible will fall upon
his head. Within three weeks he shall meet with his death by severe
accident on the Sagbama Express Road. His soul will furthermore be
doomed to roam the Sagbama Road for all eternity in the most horrible
state of torment, with no hope of heavenly mercy or absolution.

Daniel,

I am completely crestfallen by the terrible mishap that has occurred.
The worst of it being your fruitless wait for me at the airport,
thinking God knows what when I did not show up. The truth is I
overestimated my ability to withstand the rigors of a bright, sunlit
sky. The illness which renders me ultrasensitive to daylight has struck
me again. It was still dark as the plane left Iceland, but suddenly, as
we flew east, the fading dawn was overwhelmed by a brightly lit day, and
the plane seemed to nearly touch the sun. I collapsed during the flight
and am now lying in a private clinic in Copenhagen. My personal
physician has also flown in from Maine to be by my side. Anyhow, I must
say the clinic here is most progressive. They even have internet for the
patients, so I am able to surf and contact you with the hope that you
also receive my message.

Don't worry about the $3 million USD. Nothing happened to it. The small
fortune is hidden under my bed in a metal strongbox. So as not to arouse
suspicion I have declared the contents to be a consignment of
pornographic magazines bound for the Dutch market. 

Beautiful nurses are supplying me hourly with fresh blood so I feel I
will be on my feet soon. My physician reports I should be able to make
the  journey from Denmark to Amsterdam in a few days, via night train. I
suggest you wait this time in Amsterdam and arrange whatever formalities
remain to be taken care of. If you have extra time feel free to amuse
yourself in the coffee shops and bordellos. I will not think less of you
than I already do. Upon our meeting, soon to take place, I will
reimburse you for any additional expenses you incurred. Please do not be
upset by this sudden turn of events. Everything good is worth waiting
for.

Dear Mr. Ejor, Esq.

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Harry Shipman, M.D. , the
personal physician of Barnabas Roberts. Regrettably I must inform you
that Mr. Roberts passed away suddenly late yesterday afternoon, just
before sunset. My patient was a very sick man and we can all be relieved
that his suffering has finally ceased. As you may know, a rare blood
disease rendered Mr. Roberts highly susceptible to bright light, a
condition which proved to be his downfall. Apparently an unthinking
visitor opened the curtains in his room yesterday afternoon. The
prolonged exposure to the sun's setting rays proved fatal. :-( 

I spent the better part of this day taking care of bureaucratic
formalities and just finished arrangements to have his belongings
shipped back to his estate. I discovered in his appointment calendar his
notice to meet with you in Amsterdam. Having noted the e-mail address I
felt it best to inform you of the situation so you will not wait in
vain. I do not know what business he had with you, or perhaps you are a
friend or former business associate he wished to greet. Before taking
ill Mr. Roberts was quite involved in his family's shipbuilding
business, through which he has made many contacts all over the world.

I might add a few words in closing. Although Barnabas Roberts was
struggling with a terrible illness, it seemed to me in the last weeks
that he had found a new lease on life, a sudden burst of energy, as if
some positive project had given him hope. Perhaps in some way you had a
role in this. If that is the case, all of us who knew Barnabas owe you a
debt of gratitude.

If I may be of service to you, please do not hesitate to contact me. But
for now I am exhausted and must get some sleep, will fly back to Maine
tomorrow.

My name is Waldorf T. Flywheel of Flywheel, Shyster and Flywheel,
attorneys at law. I am the family attorney to the late Mr. Barnabas
Roberts, former shipbuilding magnate, hereafter referred to as my
client. My client passed away recently during travels in Europe and it
has now fallen under my obligation, serving as executor to the estate,
to locate all the beneficiaries to my client's vast holdings. 

Well, it has been a frustrating task. My late client's entire fortune:
his vault of over $666,000,000 US Dollars in cash guarded by live
wolves, a lovely old mansion near Collinsport, Maine, and a metal strong
box containing erotic Dutch language publications, has been bequeathed
to the "Pitt Roberts Memorial Fund". This is all well and good, but I
have had no success in locating such an entity. We have searched all
official records, Roberts family archives, and google, but to no avail.

In desperation we attempted a search of known relatives: there was a
cousin named Pitt Roberts who dropped out of sight several decades ago.
This, however, turned out to be a cold lead. My office performed a
comprehensive study of all obituaries in every major newspaper of the
world since 1970 and discovered that Pitt Roberts and all of his family
passed away in a car accident several years ago. We suspect that the
so-called memorial fund may have something to do with Pitt Roberts.

Having failed to locate either the "Pitt Roberts Memorial Fund" or a
next-of-kin I fear the entire assets will revert to the state government
of Maine, which intends to waste it by tearing down all public buildings
and putting up exact duplicates in their place. An upcoming appointment
in probate court will decide this. Time is therefore running out.

I am contacting you because my client apparently intended to meet with
you in Amsterdam at the time of his death. Maybe you are a relative we
do not know about. Possibly you are able to shed some light on this
mystery and assist me in paying out this fortune to the "Pitt Roberts
Memorial Fund"or a representative thereof, though I myself am skeptical
that such a fund even exists. If it does, my client succeeded in keeping
it an absolute secret. 

Please respond quickly as the matter is highly urgent.
