THE HISTORY OF MR FOLLY

CAMMY WHITE, compadre of ELIZA DANE and MAL REYNOLDS, has masterminded many a scambait, most recently THE PRICE OF A DOUBLE CHOC DRUMSTICK. Between them they have graced Scamorama many times (see main page).

I set myself a challenge with this bait; to insert the titles of stories and books by H.G. Wells into as many replies as I could. (For the record, The History of Mr Polly is a novel by H.G. Wells)

The Scammer(s)
Folly Zongo, a solicitor at law in Togo, personal attorney to Engr. H. G...
Lisa Maxwell, of the African Development Bank
David Ntiwa, attorney
CONQUEROR HILLARY EKENEDO, Western Union recipient (whose name appeared in that colour... was he born in 1953?)

The Baiter
Cammy (Cammy) White, vain and ditzy photomodel, worshipper of the Aesir

(This is best imagined recited by Richard Burton)
No one could have believed, in the early years of the twenty-first century, that a scam email such as this, filled with hackneyed phrases, could still be sent from the cyber cafes of West Africa....

I am Barrister Folly Zongo, a solicitor at law, personal attorney to Engr. H. Since then i have made several inquiries to your embassy here to locate any of my clients extended relatives, this has also proved unsuccessful.

After these several unsuccessful attempts, I got your contact from chambers of commerce search while I was searching for any member of his family hence I contacted you. I have contacted you to assist in repatriating the fund valued at US$ 5.5 million left behind by my client before it gets confiscated or declared unserviceable by the African Development Bank where this huge amount was deposited. The said African Development Bank has for sometime now issued me a notice to provide the next of kin of my client or his account shall be declared dormant or possibly confiscated.

Since I have been unsuccessful in locating the relatives for over 7 years now, I seek the consent to present you as the next of kin to the deceased since you have the same last names, so that the proceeds of this account can be paid to you. Therefore, on receipt of your positive response, we shall then discuss the sharing ratio and modalities for transfer. I have all necessary information and legal documents needed to back you up for claim.

All I require from you is your honest cooperation to enable us see this transaction through. My connected email address:- (follyzongo3@yahoo.in) I guarantee that this will be executed under legitimate arrangement that will protect you from any breach of the law.

Best Regards.
BARRISTER Folly Zongo.

But across the globe, at the far side of the world, a mind immeasurably superior to his regarded his work with scornful eyes... and slowly, but surely, she drew her plans against him...

Mr Zongo,
I'd like to know a little bit more about this guy, like what kind of job he did, and how he made his money, was he the devotee of art, did he have the soul of a bishop or something else, you know what I mean, right?
You can't be too careful when dealing with large amounts of money.

Camille White

(The bits in italics are the titles of H.G. Wells' novels and other writings, all gleaned from Wikipedia.
My aim is to have at least two, and preferably three, in each reply)

Folly Zongo

It looks like something is wrong with his space bar.
For some reason, he sent this message twice.

Mr Zongo,
I've been busy - my apologies, but some things couldn't be put off. My boyfriend insisted on going to the plant nursery yesterday and we witnessed the flowering of the Strange Orchid - quite a sight; so of course we had to get one for the garden!
I have to tell you that Mr White's being a man of God doesn't mean squat. Hel, he could have worshipped the Lord of the Dynamos for all I care. Men like gods; I have my own faith - I give my worship to the Aesir.

- YOUR FULL NAME AND ADDRESS

- OCCUPATION AND POSITION

Folly Zongo

01 January 2012

How are you doing my dear sister,
Please find below the application form of claim, please fill it correctly and send it to the bank with the bank Email address adb.tg@insurer.com or the bank FAX number +2282220 0319.

Camille (Cammy) White
Mr Zongo,
You got a virus, so you said - honestly, some people!
You lot can be babes in the darkling woodwhen it comes to technology (I'm quoting AJ) - even our little neighbour Ann Veronica is more clued in than you. Hey, I'm blonde and I know better; what's your excuse?
But seriously - the number I gave you is correct; the nation prefix is +61. Just remember that I won't be answering the phone, as I said.
Camille White
Camille (Cammy) White
Mr Zongo,
I don't agree with your proposed sharing ratio. It should be 50/50 and you can do what you please with your half.
And what the Hel is that point about costs of emails and phone calls? I assume that's a joke!
Camille White

03 January 2012

Hello Camille White,
Thanks for your response mail, well, i am comfortable with your mode of sharing, i think it is O.K by me, i have wanted you to do the sharing.
Now can you be fast and send the application to the bank immediately so as to enable them start off the transfer process of the fund.
Thank you
Folly Zongo

Camille (Cammy) White
Mr Zongo,
I don't have a scanner for that form - the wheels of chance haven't spun for me in finding one either.
I may be off the grid for a few days as we have a photoshoot in Victoria - it's all aboard for Ararat tomorrow.
I'll keep my eyes open for a scanner somewhere; it'd be an answer to prayer if I find one.

OK, what we will do right now is this, the blank space you are required to fill in by the bank, i want you to put it in writing and send it to me as a mail i will fill it out for you and take it to the bank myself. so send the required in-formations demanded by the bank to me to help you fill and submit it to the bank.

I wish you safe trip to Victoria and GOOD LUCK.

Folly

Good... the Lad can do the work for me!

Camille (Cammy) White
Mr Zongo,
I only returned today - things didn't go so well. One of the models, Dolores (can't recall her last name), turned out to be the Holy Terror, and turned every evening into a prayer session when she found out that I'm Asatruar. The beautiful suit that AJ had bought me just last week got ruined in the rain; and apropos of Dolores - she got a chill and blamed it on me.
Here's the info you wanted.

Hey, at least he's reading the replies (cf the comment about Dolores); a lot of Lads don't bother (or at best, they're careless).

11 January 2012

My Dear Camille White,
Welcome back from your tour, don't mind how things turn out to be over there especially with dolores, you know why?? because you are destined for greatness the sky will not be your limit but you will step up from there.
I have been able to fill and forward your application form to the bank personally this morning, i hope the bank will get back to you within the shortest period of time, just get me inform as soon as you gets any message from the bank.
Best Regards

Mr Folly,
The bank wrote back, and I'll forward you their letter separately.

Dolores is a complication rather than a problem - she isn't a friend really, but I know she'd like to be a special friend, if you know what I mean, and she feels guilty. Is there a cure for love? I doubt it, and Freyja would not look kindly on such a thing. But I sense that Dolores would want to be my one and only, and that would mean the jilting of Jane, and I don't want that. There's no knowing the secret places of the heart.

My Dear sister Camille White,
Thanks you so very much for your urgent and quick followup, i received the acknowledge letter you got from the bank, and i want to ask you, can you be able to come down in person for the signing off your inheritance fund as the bank has approved it( i think your coming down will be more better) but if you can no be able to come down that means you will have to contact the Ecowas bank attorney who will represent you to do all the needed on your behalf.
By Monday morning will go personally to the bank to submit the fund deposit slip and the death certificate of my late client, so i will want you scan and send to the bank a photo page of you international passport, drivers licence or any identity card of yours.
Then let me know the option you have chosen either to come down in person or to engage the services of the bank accredited lawyer to act on your behalf.

Folly
Mr Zongo

Camille (Cammy) White

Cammy, of course, has no desire to go to Togo. Why spoil the lawyer's fun?

What would be needed to come to Togo? A modern Utopia it ain't, so I was wondering about visas, inoculations, and so on for the wonderful visit, and I thought you could tell me before I set about the research magnificent.

Also, we may have a problem with the ID issue - I'm not allowed to scan my passport, I don't have a driving licence, and Australians don't carry ID cards.
Advise me please.
Camille White
Folly Zongo

16 January 2012

Hello Camille White,
What is needed to come down to Republic of Togo is just have a valid international passport and then by your air ticket, you will be stamped in here at the point of entree in our international airport here in Lome, and you will be issue a Visa here.
Secondly, the issue of identity card that is very important in accordance with the bank requirement, but your telling me that you are not allowed to scan your international passport and that Australians don't carry I.D Cards that really beats my imaginations. a whole first or second world country don't carry ids. we in Republic of Togo which the world considers a third world country carries i.d cards. please get serious.
But my advice is this, try and send to the bank any identification of yours and send it to the bank immediately so that the transfer process of the fund can commence at once.
Folly

I've heard that the bit about getting the visas stamped upon arrival is a favourite form of shakedown in that part of the world. Too bad they won't get the chance!

Camille (Cammy) White
Mr Zongo,
That sounds just weird - I'd have thought that you had to get the visa first; Mr Ledbetter's vacation to Kenya needed a visa before departure, for example, and he may be a misunderstood artist, but I think he'd be a typical tourist, don't you think?

I think you just don't get it - I'm not joking about the ID issue; why in Freyja's name would I? When I applied for a passport one requirement was a pledge to keep it safe and not to copy it; and no, we don't have to carry ID cards in Australia, just as Americans and Brits don't have to. Even John Howard, the New Machiavelli, couldn't bring that concept in. It may beat your imagination, but that's the truth.
Camille White
Folly Zongo
17 January 2012

Hello White
Firstly, Mr. ledbetter might have travelled to Kenya with a visa, i want you to know that is Kenya, it varies here, in Togo here you don't need to have a visa before coming, Togo is tourist country and visitors are stamped at the point of entree in our international airport here.
Secondly, in the issue of your passport or any identification of your which you just stated can not scan and send. the only possible way out is this, since you said you will be coming down to the bank here where the fund is been deposited to personally take care of the signing and transfer issue, so i think that will be a better time for the bank to see your identification. i have send the fund deposit slip and the death certificate of my late client to the bank, so that they can start off with the processing and the transfer of the fund, i also put them on the know that you will be coming to the bank personally to handle the requirement yourself.
So when have you proposed to come down, When do i expect you? so i can personally take you to the bank and also assist you.
Mr Zongo,
Camille (Cammy) White
Well, ain't you the man who could work miracles! Seems you can just rock up to Togo and get a visa at the gate, so to speak. Who'd have thunk it?
However, my trip won't be happening anything like immediately. Yellow fever inoculations are strongly advised, and that's ten days or more for them to take effect. It's the shape of things to come, I'm sorry to say.
I don't like the way you're writing to me now! Once it was "My dear sister Camille White", but now it's just "Dear White". Did I do something wrong for you to put me in the abyss like that?
Camille White
Folly Zongo
21 January 2012

My Dear sister Camille White,
firstly, in regards to the visa issue, this is how it has been done here in my country, as it is a tourist country, you will be stamped in (VISA FREE) at the point of entree, you just don't worry about the visa issue, when you are ready just let me know.
Secondly, in regards to the yellow fever inoculations, it is also strongly advice here. don't worry take your time to put things in shape. i understand.
Lastly, I couldn't be able to hold a laugh after reading the last paragraph of your mail, you have done nothing wrong to me, you still remain my dear lovely sister, nothing can change it. just try and put me on the know when you are set to come down and also let the bank to know of your decision of coming down, so that they too will be duly notified and if possible start the procession of the fund transfer in advance.
Your brother
Folly

So he actually wants Cammy to go Togo? That's not what I expected!

Camille (Cammy) White
Mr Zongo,
According to what I found on the web, visas like that are only good for seven days. If that's the case, not even Jimmy Goggles the God could get much done or seen in that time! Would that be enough time to do whatever is required?
We have an appointment for the shots on Tuesday, and then AJ wants us to meet some guy who's big on some investment scheme - a deal in ostriches, apparently. I'm already not liking that.
Anyway, gotta go. My friend Christina Alberta's father arranged a surprise party for this afternoon, and we're bringing beer and sausage rolls.
Camille White
Folly Zongo
24 January 2012

My Dear sister Camille White,
It is good to know that you now believe me that visas are been issued here in my country at the point of entree because it is a tourist country. but the visa extends more than that seven days you stated, it can last up to a month or thereby.
But if i should advice, i will advice you contact the bank accredited attorney so he can assist you in doing on the required on your behalf, as contained in the bank approval letter to you. i think that is better and more quick since we don't have much time. as you know that the time given us by the bank is gradually elapsing daily. what do you think?
I wait your quick response on this suggestion.
Folly

Mr Folly is being fairly smart... though I'd say the lawyer is doubtless the main plan for getting money.

Camille (Cammy) White

Time to put the Togo trip out of the picture for good...

Mr Zongo,
The Togo trip is off as AJ isn't interested in going any more - he may be a perfect gentleman on wheels, but when it comes to flying, he'd sooner be under the knife.
It's the Plattner story all over again.
Advise me please.

29 January 2012

My Dear sister Camille White,
The bank in their approval letter states that if you can not come down in person to do the signing and presentation of the required documents, you have to the option of contacting the bank registered accredited lawyer to assist you. so my advice then is that you contact the bank accredited attorney to help act on your behalf so that this fund can be transfer into your account within the shortest period of time. as the bank also said in their letter that as soon as the two documents are presented and signed your inheritance fund will hit your account within 48hours. so please let us be fast as we don't have much time to delay. Please contact the bank attorney immediately you gets this mail so he can tell us what should be done.

Mr Zongo,

Sorry for not writing but I had a computer failure and there are problems recovering my emails. Could you send me the details again please? I've tried to have it repaired, but those I've tried are as much use as tits on a bull; for example, the truth about Pyecraft is that he doesn't anything about computers - I might as well have gone to the country of the blind. As it is, by Sunday, I should hear if Mr Britling sees it through.

21 February 2012

My Dear sister Camille White,
I want to beg you in the name of the Aesir, try and be serious and put more effort in making this transaction a success. you have gotten to the stage where the fund has to be transfer into your account. then i did not hear from you again neither the bank.
You have already sent an application of claim to the bank, and the bank has approved your fund, you were given options. either to come down here to present two documents that a sworn affidavit of claim from the high court of Justice here and the fund exchange of ownership certificate from the ministry of finance then sign the fund release documents, second option is that if you are unable to come down to do all the needed then you were given the option to contact one the bank accredited attorney who will do all the needed on your behalf.
The bank said that once the documents are present and the papers signed, they will transfer your fund into your personal bank account within 48 banking hours.
Please lets be serious with this transaction, are you coming down here or will you contact the bank attorney to stand on your behalf?? Folly Zongo

I missed the chance to slap him for invoking the Aesir...

Camille (Cammy) White
Mr Zongo,
Sorry, but I am a bit of ditz at times - so my brother keeps saying. He says that because I was born in the days of the comet (that was 1986, Halley's comet, did you see it?), I'm a bit of a space cadet (one of the Star Begotten, if he's being nice).
I did explain what happened to my computer and how I lost my stored emails; if you don't remember that, you're as forgetful as the Bulpington of Blup (which is not good).

22 February 2012

Now, i understand everything perfectly, what do you intend to do now, what is your decision? are you still coming down to sign the fund release papers or will you contact the bank accredited attorney to stand on your behalf?
We don't have to delay much, please act fast so that this fund will be transferred into your account before the week runs out.

So what's with the hurry all of a sudden? He even got his own name wrong!

The fund has been approve by the bank, now the bank is asking me to come down in person to present some documents like an affidavit of claim, the fund exchange of ownership certificate and also to sign some of the fund release/transfer papers.
But due to my tight schedule i can not be able to come down in person. so i was given the option of contacting you as one of the bank accredited lawyer to represent me in doing all the needed things and as-well to sign the fund release documents.
I want you to act on my behalf.
Kind Regards
Camille white

So that's exactly what Cammy sent, misprints and run-on sentences and all. I wasn't going to improve it for him!

David Ntiwa

So the lawyer replied... at length!

Cammy, of course, wasn't going to let those Christian references go unpunished. The bank account details, by the way, were gratefully accepted for possible action.

Camille (Cammy) White
Mr Ntiwa,
I do not want any Christian blessings or the like to appear in any message to me.
Is that clear to you?
Camille White
Camille (Cammy) White

And then it was yet another five days, and Cammy got concerned.

Mr Zongo,

I haven't heard from Mr Ntiwa in five days.
Should I send him a reminder mail?

Camille White
David Ntiwa

That got him back, and apologetic... a bit too much so!

10 March 2012

As a legal practitioner, we respect every body's faith or believe, every one has the legal right to his or her believe or worship. we at the Lawyers Counsel are deeply sorry for using some word that contradict your faith, it will never repeat itself again. NEVER!!!

Well, we are still expecting to hear from in regards to the consultation/mobilization fees as demanded, so that we can book our flight to the ECOWAS High court of Justice at Accra- Ghana, and also at the ministry of finance to get the needed documents.

We expect to hear from you soon so that we can commence work immediately.

BARRISTER DAVID NTIWA (ESQ).

Camille (Cammy) White
Mr Ntiwa,
That's kewl then.
But what's a mobilisation fee?
Camille White
David Ntiwa

I'll give the Lads points for originality...

10 March 2012

Dear Camille White,
The mobilization fees been charged is a fees that has to be paid so as to enable us start up the work.

The ECOWAS high court of justice is at the republic of Ghana, that is why we ask for the mobilization charge, we will be needing the money to buy an air ticket to Accra-Ghana also to pay for our accommodation when we arrive there. we will still be required to pay some tax to the government before the said documents can be released to us. We will also go to the ministry of finance here to get the remaining document.

All this will cost us money, so that is why we ask for the mobilization charge to help us foot these expenses. We hope you understand the above explanation as expecting to hear from you soon,

BARRISTER DAVID NTIWA (ESQ).

However, I still want an invoice!
And yes, I know he already sent an account...

Camille (Cammy) White
Mr Ntiwa,
You'd better send a fully itemised invoice then, and an account to receive the fee.
Camille White
David Ntiwa

The Lads may have been original, but the document they sent had a flaw I've seen before.

18 March 2012

Dear Camille White,
Madam.
I am so sorry for late in my response to you. i have been out of the town to represent a client. please pardon me.
Below is the our account information.
BANK NAME: ECOBANK LOME (REPUBLIC OF TOGO)
SWIFT CODE: ECOCTGTG
ACCOUNT NO: 7020811405195201.
BENEFICIARY: ONIFADE OLUFEMI AFOLABI .
Also check the attached file for the invoice.
Expecting to hear from you soon,

BARRISTER DAVID NTIWA (ESQ).

Camille (Cammy) White
Mr Ntiwa,
You sent me a receipt.
According to that, I've already paid you.
Camille White
David Ntiwa

I love it when a Lad loses it for no real reason.

19 March 2012

In other words, you want me to represent you and do all the bank requires of you also to get the needed documents without you paying me? Or are you planing to sue me and my firm for bridge of contract? or for collecting money from you and not doing you job for you?
I don't really understand you when you said ( You sent me a receipt. According to that, I've already paid you.) what is that suppose to mean?

Hon. David Ntiwa
Camille (Cammy) White
Mr Ntiwa,
How old are you? You're not acting like a mature adult.
Just pay attention and THINK!
An invoice is a document setting out what I'm paying for, and why. What you sent me is a receipt, which is saying that I've paid the money already.
If you can't see what's wrong with that, then I pity you.

Camille White
David Ntiwa

Interesting... this one has done his research!

20 March 2012

Dear Camille White,

Madam.
Well my dear, please pardon me if i have said anything that might annoyed you. in regards to the receipt issued, it was my secretary fault, i instructed her to send you an invoice while i was out of town as i told you in my my previous mail REMENBER? but i was surprise to check my email account to see that she sent you a receipt, which was suppose to be sent on a money already been paid. although this mistake could lead to her been fired.

Please i am so sorry about the mistake, and i plead with you to please send the money. I was reliably informed during my visit to the bank in respect to you inheritance fund with them that you are one of Asatru ( worshiper of Aesir). i have known the worshiper of Aesir to be a very good and nice people, i know that through my niece who married a German that is also give his worship to the Aesir. my niece is also a worshiper.

I will not want us to be dragging this issue, please try and understand with me and pay the money. it was just a mistake from my secretary.

I waits to hear from you soon.
Hon. David Ntiwa

Camille (Cammy) White

Can I get a side bait going?

Mr Ntiwa,
Just send me a proper invoice and it'll all be good.
But you have Asatruar in the family? Please send me their contacts! This is great news!

Camille White
Folly Zongo

Folly's been quiet lately...

p> 20 March 2012

My Dear sister Camille White,
Thank you for the update. yes you can send him an update.

Folly Zongo
Camille (Cammy) White

Time for a Wells references..

Mr Zongo,

Mr Ntiwa is not only sluggish (he could benefit from the new accelerator), but he made a major fuckup with the paperwork. Honestly, Pollock and the Porroh Man could give him a run for his money. But on the plus side, he has Asatruar in the family! Who'd have foreseen that? Must have been one Hel of a family elopement.

Camille White

David Ntiwa

So much for the Asatruar niece; goodbye, side bait...

21 March 2012

Dear Camille White,
Madam.
Please find the below attachment for the invoice, in regard to my niece who is your sister in faith, she is sick at the moment and is been admitted at the central hospital at kumasi Republic of Ghana. she has cancer. i will go and see her when i gets to Accra Ghana republic for your documents at the high court. although it is a bit far but i will surely go and see her then i will call you maybe you can talk with her.
BARRISTER DAVID NTIWA (ESQ).
(Senior Advocate of Togo).

Camille (Cammy) White
Mr Ntiwa,
Who is travelling with you to Ghana? $450 is a bit steep for a flight of about 150 klicks, I might add.
Also, what tax do you mean? What I see is "the ministry of finance Sokode", whatever that is!
Camille White
David Ntiwa
Dear Camille White,
22 March 2012

Madam.
I want to know that the $450 is for both the air ticket, transportation while in Ghana and for my hotel accommodation. In regards to your second question, the ministry of finance is at sokode here in my country, i will go there as soon as i return from Ghana, all this cost money. Lastly, in Africa here it is been said that nothing goes for nothing, you have to pay taxes for such document especially when it a matter of huge amount of money. so you see that is why you saw tax there.

I hope you understand all the explanations,on the other hand i sent a message across to my niece in Kumasi Ghana about you i told her that i found a Asatruar.

Hon. Barrister David Ntiwa
Camille (Cammy) White

Not much in the title list suits this reply, so I'll settle for some sarcasm instead.

Mr Ntiwa,
Please send me your itinerary. I'd like to see just what I'm paying for. So in Africa nothing goes for nothing - well, in Australia we have a saying about There's No Such Thing As A Free Lunch.
If someone demands payment, you have the right to know exactly what it's about.

Camille White
David Ntiwa
23 March 2012

Dear
Madam.
I believe you already know my itinerary, so why asking again. i will be visiting the ECOWAS high court in Accra in republic of Ghana as well as the finance office there too.
when i return i will also have to go to sokode at the federal ministry of finance here. then after all the documents has been acquired i will go to the bank to present it it and sign all the necessary paper work for the transfer of your fund.
then all the documents will be sent to you via courier service.
Hon. David Ntiwa

Camille (Cammy) White

It's about time to raise some hopes, because some major disappointment is going to ensue very, very soon.

Mr Zongo,

I'm planning on getting the money for the papers sent to Mr Ntiwa, tomorrow, so you can banish the ghost of fear.

Maybe you need some of Wayde's essence to calm you down; it's sort of like aqua vitae but in the modern vein.

We did not hear from you again as you promised to send the money yesterday being Monday. we are still expecting to hear from you so that we can get things started.

Time to throw a spanner into the works...

Mr Ntiwa,
My father was killed in a car accident on Sunday. Since my brother is on active service, I have to handle things here.
You'll have to be patient.

Dear Camille White,

I so sorry to hear the death of your father, we at the lawyers counsel, we are deeply sorry for the loose. please kindly accept our condolence and sympathy.
Hon. Barrister David Ntiwa
Camille (Cammy) White

If you know Cammy well, you'll know that she hates her father.

Mr Ntiwa,

I'm not sorry he's dead.

Stupid shit hated me all my life. He was drunk at the wheel and deserved to die. I'm going to thank the guy in the other car - ride him bareback when he's recovered.

Camille White
Camille (Cammy) White
Mr Zongo,
I'll be back in Sydney after Eostre.
Seems my father's affairs were a bit weirder than you'd think.
The stupid fuck was into every stupid scheme going - some anti-aging product called Wayde's Essence, the secret of Mr Brisher's treasure (some Lasseter wannabe), and some joker he called the Diamond Maker. I can tell you, Roscoe and I did not take after that loser!

Camille White

Oops... I used Wayde's essence already!
The "Lasseter wannabe" reference derives from a legend of a probably mythical gold mine in central Australia (Google "Lasseter's Reef" if you're curious).

Folly Zongo

Nope, Folly didn't notice.

11 April 2012

My Dear sister Camille White,
How are you doing today? are you back to Sydney.

Folly Zongo

11 April 2012

Hello My Dear sister Camille White,
i have not heard from you for a while now, i did sent you a mail but i did not get any response, i hope all is well and i hope you are O.K.
Are you still out of the Sydney or you are back? waiting to hear from you soon.

Folly
Camille (Cammy) White
Mr Zongo,
Only just back - had to do some emergency babysitting in Goulburn. Looking after a hyperactive kid ain't funny - having to endure all the babble as Peter learns arithmetic was almost enough to have me reaching for a hammer, and the adventures of Tommy were no improvement.

23 April 2012

Dear Camille white,

In regards to your mail dated Monday, April 2, 2012

that you will be out of town and that you will be back after the Eostre and will then get back to us. It been two weeks after the Eostre and we have not heard from you.
We are still expecting to hear from you to receive the payment so as to start off work on your behalf in respect to your fund with the Union Togoglaise De Banque.
Expecting your positive response.

Hon. Barrister David Ntiwa
Camille (Cammy) White

Mr Ntiwa,

Between celebrating my father's death, doing the Eostre rituals, and preparing for Anzac Day, I'm afraid I just put you on the back burner.

So hang tight there, dude.

Camille White

Camille (Cammy) White
Mr Zongo,
I've heard nothing from Mr Ntiwa since I wrote to him on the 27th.

Are you and he OK? I had a dream about waking up in the red room, with Mr Marshall's Doppelganger looming over me, and I can tell you, I was frightened!

Camille White
Folly Zongo

Whoa, what's this? Folly has gone off the deep end! Seems that Davie is a bit of a prima donna if he took Cammy's last message as an insult!

21 May 2012

My Dear sister Camille White,
I am in the process of perfecting an arrangement where by the fund can be transfer by the help of a foreign partner from Mexico who bears the same last name with my late client, because the manner and way things are going from your own angle proves that you are not serious with this transaction. the way you are handling this project show that you are no way close to been serious with it.

i meet the bank attorney at a shopping mall, he complain that you sent him a kind of an insulting mail, and that you could not even pay for his service charge after demanding for an invoice and other things.

So i hope you will understand and stand back from this deal while i conclude it with a more serious minded person. but i will surely compensate you at the end of the transfer.

Don't worry, i will map out a good percentage for you as a compensation for all your past effort.

Thanks for your understanding
Folly

Camille (Cammy) White

Cammy was rather restrained, considering...

Mr Zongo,
I don't get you at all. It's like a vision of judgment, and unfair at that. I've been 100% serious - and I didn't plan for my father to die in the middle of our business (even if I did cheer when I heard about it and hoped he'd gone into the undying fire rather than Hel's domain).

I also don't know what Ntiwa has to complain about, given that the money I sent didn't get through; the bank told me the payment was rejected - what does the flying man have to say about that? And what insulting email?

You can't just reject me. The application was made; how are you going to explain that the Australian claimant has suddenly transformed into a Mexican, huh?

Camille White

Folly Zongo

Five months in, Folly seems to be growing weary...

22 May 2012

My dear sister, I don't think it is unfair to act what i plan to do. you said that you have been 100% serious but i did not see the seriousness on your side. it has been over 5 months since i have contacted you in regards to this claim but we have not yet arrive to the conclusion all because of the delay in your part. that is why i am planing to to do what i am about to do.

Well in regards to the application and the question on trasfering the fund to mexico rather than Australia, you don't worry about that, all arrangement concerning that will be perfectly taken care of. somebody can have more than five bank accounts or a claimant can aswel appoint somebody to recieve a certain fund on his or her behalf (maybe a family memeber or a trusted friend or business partner) if situation warrants.

But my dear sister, if you will promise to get serious this time, then there will no need of getting another partner to conclude the transaction with me. let me know if you really want to assist me in getting this fund trasfer into your account as soon as possible.

because i don't want to loose this fund, i have invested my money, time and energy to keep this transaction alive till date and i am doing everything humanly possible to see to the smooth transfer of this fund. that is why i need a serious person to assist me. we don't have much time to delay. i hope you understand.

If you think you are capable and serious please contact Hon. David Ntiwa to conclude things with him, he is the only person between the fund transfer. do that and get me informed as soon as possible.

Folly.

(Well, it has been five months... most Lads don't keep track! But come on, who were the ones with five-day breaks? It wasn't Cammy!

His explanation about an Australian becoming a Mexican doesn't quite gel, and you'll notice he missed the bit about the rejected payment.)

Folly Zongo

23 May 2012

Additionally, i am ready to support you financier if you don't have up to the amount been demanded by Hon. David, i want this fund to be transfer before the month ends. so there should not be much delay. i will wait for you till the next two days to let me know your final conclusion, if you are to continue with this transaction or i should contact Mr. White.

Regards the financier support i talked about, i want us to share the Attorney's charge 50/50. so you pay half of the money then i will pay the other half. is that o.k by you?.

Please go through this mail very well and draw out your last conclusion, we don't have much time to delay to avoid the bank confiscation the fund as an unclaimed fund.

Folly

Camille (Cammy) White

Mr Zongo,

If Mr Nitiwa doesn't answer my emails, it's not my fault that things stalled. He's a right contender for the world of Mr Clissold, and that takes some doing! If there are things to come, I want him to come to the party, and stop expecting me to wait until the sleeper wakes.

I don't remember anything about financier support - please explain that.

Camille White

Folly Zongo

24 May 2012

My dear sister, I will really like to conclude this deal with you rather than getting somebody involve after all you have laboured with me to get this transaction to this level.

The financier support i am talking about is that i want to assist you in paying for Mr. David Ntiwa's representation charges. i want us to team up in paying the money. i will pay half the amount and you pay the remaining half, is that o.k by you. but which ever you choose, i will like it to be done within two day to enable Mr. David to start work, so that we can expect the bank to transfer the fund into your account before the month ends.

But please kindly put me on the know if you can not pay the attorney charges within the two days, so that i can contact a serious person to finalise this transaction with. after then i will compensate you.

Folly

Dear Reader, if they manage to scam Cammy, the scammers will divide the loot according to a 'sharing percentage'. [Multiple scammer persona may be fielded by one scammer, but let's go with the multi-scammer scenario here, in which different people each play a role - the 'catcher' who sends out the initial emails, the 'banker' or 'barrister' who collects, someone to pick up the money order, and anyone else needed to make it work.]
So, Folly may be under pressure to produce results for the rest of the ad hoc team.
And maybe you knew all that.
We now return to our regularly scheduled scambait.

Camille (Cammy) White
Mr Zongo,
You have no idea how that like about "finding a serious person" pisses me off. I have been totally serious about the lost inheritance, and for you to just brush me off as silly leaves me feeling like I've been run over by the land ironclads. If you apologise, and sincerely, then we can go ahead as you suggest, otherwise it's over before the sleeper wakes.

Camille White
Folly Zongo

26 May 2012

My Dear sister Camille White,
I don't don't really know what to tell you. but firstly i want you to know that i never wanted to brush you off just as you put it like a silly leaves. i want both of us to see to the smooth transfer of this inheritance fund into your personal bank account then i will come over to your country for the sharing. i decided to take the measure of involving another person because of the manner and ways in which you are handling this transaction, it seems to me that you are not serious.

(I didn't say anything about silly leaves!)

But since you have said you have been ever serious over this transaction, please can we just put heads together to finalise this transfer. please contact barrister David Ntiwa with half of his service charge i will send the balance across to him by tomorrow morning.

Please my dear sister accept my apology and send the money the Mr. David today.
i hope to read a positive mail from you before the end of today.
Folly

Camille (Cammy) White
Mr Zongo,
I didn't see your post until now as I was at a photoshoot on the topics of Love and Mr Lewisham (a steampunk theme) and The Inexperienced Ghost (goth horror). The weather sucked and things didn't go so well. There was a barbecue afterwards, but it was not the food of the Gods, believe me! As it was, the presence by the fire of the wife of Sir Isaac Harman was the last straw.
I've got a bad migraine and I doubt I can do anything before Tuesday.
If you send your half, the other will follow soon, if you can just be patient.,
Camille White
Folly Zongo

He's getting desperate for payday now!

30 May 2012

My Dear sister Camille White,
I have given Barrister David Ntiwa the half the required amount yesterday being Monday. i gave him $900 dollars, he insisted that he will only begin work when he gets his charge in full, the balance remains $875 dollars, please i am begging you to try as much as humanly possible to send the balance fees to Barrister David immediately.

Folly
Camille (Cammy) White
Mr Zongo,
By Freyja's tears, what a day - I haven't been this bored since a lecture in the Ayu Observatory on asteroids.
The guy who owned the property was a vision from the past, all smarmy and patronising; he made me feel more like a little mother up the Morderberg.
Mr Ntiwa, please send me the account details again, as I can't find them.

31 May 2012

Dear Camille White,
Madam.
Below is our account details, Mr. Folly Zongo has on Monday sent me a total amount of $900 dollars so it balance $875 dollars. i will commence work as soon as you send the balance fees.
Below is the our account information.

Mr Ntiwa,
I'll have to go back to the bank tomorrow to get a copy of the slip because I forgot to ask for one - I was so distracted by the remarkable case of Davidson's eyes in today's MX. The Wild Asses of the Devil couldn't get me back there (mainly as it's closed), but tomorrow it should be done and dusted before the purple pileus opens.

3 June 2012

My Dear sister Camille White,
I am sorry for the late response.
i have already called Mr. David on phone to resend you his account info.
Folly
Camille (Cammy) White
Mr Zongo,
You don't have to worry - Ntiwa sent me the account details. I made the transfer on Thursday and I put the transfer slip in the post yesterday before we went on a photoshoot - which very nearly went pear-shaped. The change room turned out to be more like a cupboard (like in the old joke, to open the door in the wall you almost had to leave the room first), the pleasant little vale turned out to be the valley of the spiders (I'm an arachnophobe), and the picnic afterwards turned into the empire of the ants.
How long will it be to get the final phase done?

Camille White

Sadly, that question was never answered.

"U-LLAH!"
