Scam o Rama 54

When I consulted the internet...your contact email came out [ Saliu Mukhail ]

This kindly and audacious contributor (in the Netherlands) was apparently flirting with the Lads for grins. We DON'T advise this, but the results are interesting and here they are: a response to the first flirtation, and the original scam letter. There weren't any paragraph markings, so pardon the editorializing, but we wouldn't want you to suffocate while reading. Some familiar elements: the late lamented Johnson Creek, and the Trust Fund for Alms and Ammunition (pause for laughter).

Dear (kindly contributor)

Thank you for your response. Honestly, I was beginnig to get worried. Well, we do not really have much time to waste. Let me start by telling you the genessis of my contacting you.

I had a friend, who I met several years ago while on a course in banking innovation in your London. His name is George s., (kindly contributor). He was a nice friend whom I exchanged a lot of ideas with. Unfortunately, I lost his contact address. Now when this opprtunity came by and we at the bank wanted somebody to assume the next of kin of late J. Creek, I decided to search for his contact address with his name on the internet people finder. But when I consulted the internet for that, your contact email came out. I wondered whether to tell you of this transaction, but when we realised that time was not on our side and also that we can not allow that fund to be used for donation to the war college, which would enhance war and chaos in the Africa, we decided to contact you, hoping that we can trust you.

Now, our fear is, whether you can keep this secret to your self. I have told you that all modalities have been perfectly worked out. This is a 100% risk free transaction. If we can trust you, then you would have to keep to my instruction to make this money get to your account in less than 10 working days. I have worked in this bank for about 16 years and I know what is obtainable in this type of transaction. Mr. Creek also happened to be my personal client here at the bank. I know that he has no wife nor children. He was a very lonely man who lived all by him self. This is a sure fact. Furthermore, my country is a very corrupt one where nobody cares. Also, it is not every day that things like this happen, because not everyday that people tell you the source of there wealth. If you keep your ears to the ground, you would find out that a lot more happen. This, though, is not an entirely corrupt transaction, but one with every ethical backing.

So, if you are capable of handling this project, then call me om my CONFIDENTIAL tel/fax number: + 234 1 2647174 so that I can put you in the proper picture of this project. When you call, please ask me for this password; " LOVE". If you do not hear this password from me, please do not say anything but drop the phone and get back to me on email informing me of what happened. This is important if we must protect this transaction and make this transaction a success. Please, also send to me your telephone and fax numbers. so that i can contact you in time I expect your response urgently.

Thank you and God bless you. SALIU P.MUKHAIL.

And here is the original approach:

First, I must solicit your confidence in this transaction, this is by virtue of its nature as being utterly confidential and top secret. Below is a confidential proposal we hope you would understand and treat as urgent as it demands.

A foreigner, late Engineer Johnson Creek, an Oil Merchant / contractor with the federal Government of Nigeria, until his death three years ago in a ghastly air crash, banked with us here at Union Bank PLC., Lagos, and had a closing balance of USD$38.5M ( Thirty Eight Million, Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars) which the bank now unquestionably expects to be claimed by any of his available foreign next of kin or alternatively be donated to a discredited trust fund for alms and ammunition at a military war college here in Nigeria. Fervent valuable efforts are being made by the Union Bank to get in touch with any of the Creek family or relatives but all have proved to no avail.

It is because of the perceived possibility of not going to be able to locate any of late Engr. Johnson Creek's next of kin (he had no known wife and children) that the management under the influence of our Chairman, board of directors, Retired Major General Kalu Uke Kalu, that an arrangement for the fund to be declared "UNCLAIMABLE" and then be subsequently donated to the Trust Fund for Alms and Ammunition which will further enhance the course of war in Africa and the world in general.

In order to avert this negative development, myself and some of my trusted colleagues in the bank now seek for your permission to have you stand as late Engr. Johnson Creek's next of kin so that the fund, USD$38.5M would be subsequently transferred and paid into your bank account as the beneficiary next of kin. All documents and proves to enable you get this fund have been carefully worked out and we are assuring you a 100% risk free involvement.

Your share would be 30% of the total amount. 10% has been set aside for expenses while the rest would be for myself and my colleagues for investment purposes in your country. If this proposal is OK. by you and you do not wish to take advantage of the trust we hope to bestow on you, then kindly get to me immediately via my e-mail furnishing me with your most confidential telephone, fax number and exclusive e-mail so that I can forward to you the relevant details of this transaction.

Regards,
SALIU MUKHAIL.
